
ECOAQUA SA Calarasi was created in 2004 as operator of water and sewerage systems in Calarasi County. ECOAQUA SA Calarasi is a limited company wholly owned by local authorities.
The first transfer of water and wastewater activities was conducted in December 2004 for the towns of Calarasi, Oltenita and Lehiu-Gara, followed by Budeşti city, took over in 2005. In April 2006 were taken water and wastewater activities in Urziceni city, Ialomita County.
