
• Connecting to the water supply and the seweage systems all citizens of Calarasi, Oltenita, Lehliu-Gara, Budeşti and Fundulea cities, in Calarasi County and the city of Urziceni, in Ialomita County, and compliance of existing targets with the regulations of European Union directives;
• Ensuring security of the drinking water supply to the population;
• Reducing energy and material consumption, by replacing outdated equipment with modern equipment;
• Creating new depth groundwater sources and developing water reservoirs (tanks, chlorination stations, pumping stations);
• Extension and rehabilitation of water distribution network, reduction of losses in the distribution system, monitoring all consumers and process automation;
• Improving processes to ensure water supplied parameters according to EC Directive no. 98/83 and Water Law no. 458/2002;
• Mitigation of health related risks by extending the sewerage network, in order to reduce risks associated with underground and surface water pollution;
• Eliminating the groundwater and subsoil contamination through the rehabilitation of waste water collectors and eliminating the waste water leaks;
• Reducing risks by eliminating discharges of untreated or insufficiently treated wastewater;
• Reducing energy consumption and replacing the sewage pumping stations with performant equipment;
• Creating new wastewater collection systems in Budeşti and Fundulea cities;
• Construction of new wastewater treatment plants, rehabilitation and upgrading of existing wastewater treatment plants, supplying advanced biological treatment and sludge treatment line;
• Compliance for the discharged effluent with the current legislation on wastewater in Romania and the EU, the Romanian Government Directive no. 352/2005 and the EU Directive no. 91/271/EEC, as amended by the EU Directive no. 98/15/EC;
• Reducing pollution caused by improperly treated wastewater effluent to the Danube, Ialomita and Argov rivers;
• Improving the quality of the sludge, in accordance with the national legislation (Order no. 344/2004), in order to be used for agricultural purposes or as a soil fertilizer.
